Why are only women accepted as guests?


A: En CASA KATHARINA, sólo aceptamos mujeres como huéspedes para poder realmente con un ambiente 100% femenino: Un ambiente donde fomentar la amistad entre mujeres, la tranquilidad y el orden, así como la limpieza que sólo las mujeres comprendemos. Sólo se aceptan mujeres, para evitar situaciones propias de las casa de huéspedes, y hoteles, donde co-habitan ambos sexos.

At CASA KATHARINA, we only accept female guests in order to provide a 100% femenine enviroment: An enviroment where to develop friendship between women, and, Tranquility and order, along cleanliness and higine as only women can understand. Only female guests are accepted, in order to avoid the type of situtations where both sexes co exist.

Q: Reservaciones y Pagos
Reservations & Payment
A: LAS RESERVACIONES se aceptan, con por lo menos 3 meses de anticipación, y estan sujetas a espacio y aceptacion del acuerdo de convivencia.

LOS PAGOS, se hacen por adelantado, segun el tiempo que necesites estar con nosotras:
Por dia, por semana, por mes, o, lo mas economico, La estancia Larga ( 3 ó mas meses pagados por adelantado)

LA MONEDA que se acepta es EL QUETZAL DE GUATEMALA, ó su equivalente en EUROS o DOLARES DE LOS ESTADOS UNIDOS. Lo sentimos mucho, no aceptamos cheques de viajero, ni cheques personales, y NO ACEPTAMOS TARJETAS DE CREDITO ( Hay un Cajero automatico tipo ATM a solo una calle sobre la misma avenida )

RESERVATIONS are accepten, with at least 3 months in advance, and are subject to availability and your acceptance to our Living or Convivency Agreement.

PAYMENT, is made IN ADVANCE, upon your arrival, according to the time you plan to stay with us: By Day, week or month, or , in the best of cases, BY LONG STAY ( 3 or more months payed in advance )

CURRENCY, we accept your payment in GUATEMALAN "QUETZAL" , or its equivalent in EUROS or USA DOLARES. Sorry! We DO NOT ACCEPT Traveler or personal check, NOR Credit Cards(less than 1 block away, there is an ATM Machine !)

How Much does it costs to live in Casa Katharina ?
A: Casa Katharina ofrece servicios de varios precios, segun el tamaño de la habitación, su ubicación dentro de la residencia y otros factores pero tenemos precios DESDE Q.900.oo al mes (Julio 2009).

Para trabajadoras de ONGs con plaza fijos y determinados para su estancia en Guatemala, a partir de 3 meses en adelante, hay precios especiales de estancias largas, PREPAGADAS.
Lo sentimos, NO HAY REEMBOLSOS si decides dejarnos antes de lo planeado, Y CLARO, si te quedas mas tiempo, ya sola por tu cuenta, te mantenemos el mismo precio que pagaste por tu estancia larga: Queremos que te quedes con nosotras!

Para trabajadoras de ONGs hay un servicio gratis de transporte, del aeropuerto a la Casa Katharina y vice versa, el dia que vienes y el dia que te vas...

For NGOs workers we have FREE SHUTLLE to and from the airport upon your arrival and your departure.

A: CASA KATHARINA no es para cualquier mujer y NO es para "mujeres cualquiera".

Hay un muy apropiado acuerdo de convivencia que te invitamos a venir a a conocer cuando vengas a ver las habitaciones, pero en general, la norma clave es: Respeto y muy altos y apropiados estandares de moral y comportamiento social.

Q: ¿ Puede venir mi mascota a vivir conmigo ?

Can I bring my pet with me ?
A: CASA KATHARINA limita la tenencia de animales, a tu espacio privado, es decir tu habitacion o suite. Fuera de tu habitacion o suite, tu mascota debe de estar con su correa.

Tu eres responsable por la limpieza de tu animal, su utencilios (platos, cajas para defecar, etc, etc, etc...)

Si te vas de viaje, debes de buscas un HOTEL PARA MASCOTAS, o bien contratar los servicios del que te recomendamos.

CASA KATHARINA, no se hace responsable por tu mascota, su salud o los daños que pueda ocasionar.

CASA KATHARINA limmits the presence of you pet to your private quartes, ROOM OR SUITEM Once outside, you room or suite, you must have a leash at all times.

You are responsable for the cleaning of you pet and all its belongings: sand Box, plates, etc, etc...

If you leave overnight, you must seek a PET HOTEL or hire the services of one we recommend.

Q: ¿ Puedo tener mi computadora e Internet ?

Can I have a computer or lap top and internet?
A: Puedes usar tu computadora, pero debes de tener tu propio UPS o control de corriente electrica. Casa Katharina no es responsable por daños ocasionados a tu equipo por descargas.

CASA KATHARINA ofrece servicios de conexion a internet de 28kbps a 512kbps por un precio adicional, segun la velocidad.

A: CASA KATHARINA ofrece POR UN COSTO ADICIONAL SERVICIOS DE TELEVISION DE CABLE INTERNACIONAL. En este servicios puedes tener CNN internacional, DW, TVE, TV Mexicana, y otros...no te preocupes. No te vas a aburrir, aunque seria mejor que te compraras unos zapatos de deporte y salieras a caminar a la Calzada Simeon Canas... o a nadar al Club Coromaco (Piscina semi-olimpica a 300 metros de Casa Katharina...)
